St Thomas

  • 1. The Shopping District
A trip to St Thomas in the US Virgin Islands through a designer's eyes... The tourist industry accounts for so much of the commerce that it seems the locals have been overlooked.

Wedding Invites

  • 7 - Back Cover
As a designer, the invitations were the most important part of the wedding planning. I bought a dress the weekend before the party, but my invitations were planned far in advance (and cost more than the dress)! These invitations involved a custom photo shoot, custom illustration, specialty papers overnighted from a paper house in California, and hand finishing in addition to machine binding. What can I say, but, "This is how I express my love!".

Email Marketing - How to Float in the Flood

Lara August will be conducting a workshop at the InnoTech Conference Thursday, March 6th. Here is what the workshop will cover...

With reports that over 25% of all emails that reach a consumer inbox are marketing, it's becoming increasingly important to understand the medium, the trends and the challenges before launching a campaign. Learn how to build lists of responsive customers who are eager to be on the receiving end of your direct marketing, and avoid the common pitfalls that can lead to a permanent shut down.

In this session, Robot Creative's Principal and Creative Director, Lara August, will provide information on the latest statistics and industry trends. She will also help you brush up on your basics to help increase your email effectiveness as the medium becomes more competitive. Attendees will leave with actionable ideas and valuable resources to improve their current or planned campaigns.
