ROBOT recently completed a logo design for SpaySA as part of the GEAR (Graphic Exchange at ROBOT) internship program. SpaySA is an organization that provides and promotes accessible subsidized spay and neuter services for pets in Bexar County. Formerly the Gladys Harborth Animal Resource Center, SpaySA changed their name to more effectively communicate the organization’s mission and to highlight their services in response to San Antonio’s "no-kill" initiative. They needed a new logo to support the name change and rebranding initiative.
The logo was designed by student designers, Edwin Boyles of Trinity University and Rachel Rost of Texas State University, as part of ROBOT’s GEAR internship program. Through GEAR, ROBOT brings together nonprofit organizations in need of a logo with design students in need of client experience. ROBOT art directors work with the students and non-profits using our processes and methods to ensure quality of work. 2008 marked the 5th anniversary of the GEAR program.
